Kerry produced a ruthless display in Killarney to end Armagh's championship campaign and book their place in the All-Ireland quarter-finals. The Kingdom's attacking quality proved decisive throughout, with David Clifford once again at the heart of everything good. Armagh struggled to contain Kerry's movement and finishing as four goals helped Jack O'Connor's side pull clear in emphatic fashion and underline their credentials as serious Sam Maguire contenders.

Mayo secured their place in the last eight after overcoming Meath in a hard-fought contest. The Royals looked well positioned after goals from Ciaran Caulfield and Séan Coffey helped establish an early advantage, but their task became significantly harder when they were reduced to 14 men in the 59th minute. Mayo gradually took control after the break, reeling in the deficit through a steady stream of scores before pulling away in the closing stages to keep their season alive.

Despite conceding two goals and facing a determined Westmeath side throughout, Gabriel Bannigan's men delivered one of their most impressive attacking displays of the summer. Stephen O’Hanlon and Jack McCarron put on memorable performances for their county to ensure their championship season rolled on to the quarter-final stage.
