After speaking with Siobhan Chamberlain, we found out that Siobhan's background in football was not as simple as some may think.
When Siobhan was growing up, opportunities for girls in football were few and far between. For many young women, a career in football felt out of reach, professional female players were rarely seen or heard of. Thankfully, the landscape has changed. Today, women have the chance to play professionally, but this progress didn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of tireless efforts from teams and organisations like the English Schools Football Association, who have worked hard to ensure that every athlete, regardless of gender, is given an equal opportunity to pursue a career in the sport.
That’s why we’re proud to partner with ESFA. Their dedication to the growth of women’s football is clear, and they continue to push the game forward by creating real opportunities for young players of all genders to shine. Whether it’s through top-level coaching or providing access

As part of our partnership launch with the English Schools Football Association, we had a conversation with one of the most iconic players to have played for the organisation, Michael Owen. High-quality sportswear and equipment has been a major part of supporting athletes like Owen, whose career highlights the intersection of sports, education, and style. This is why O’Neills Sportswear UK has partnered with ESFA to provide the same support to new upcoming football stars like Michael Owen.
For Michael Owen, the ability to balance education and professional football was an essential part of his success. As mentioned, he was able to continue playing at the highest level while maintaining a strong academic background, something that is increasingly supported by organisations like the English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA). The ESFA has grown and developed, providing more opportunities for young talent to pursue their dreams while balancing academics. This mirrors the rise of sportswear

We partnered closely with Ray Parlour to bring his vision to life, capturing the defining moments and highlights of his legendary career.Â
It was through our discussions with Ray that we got a chance to understand exactly how he wanted his jersey to look. Since we have complete creative freedom to execute that vision with O'Neills bespoke kits, we began creating that one-off jersey with special touches that celebrate Ray's footballing journey. As we did with Ray, our custom service allows us to develop very individual kits that reflect the player's own story.
Ray's bespoke kit has a capable touch of personal memorialisation, including a tribute to Highbury, Arsenal's former historic ground and also a nod to the legendary 'bruised banana' print used early in the 90s for an Arsenal kit. Ray's nickname, "The Romford Pele," is displayed prominently upon his kit, along with a tribute to his famous goal celebration during the 2002 FA Cup final against Chelsea. We finished off the design honouring

In the Soccer | In the GAA | June 21, 2022Retro jerseys are not only incredibly trendy garments with designs that are a feast for the eyes, but they also hold a world of nostalgia, triggering memories and emotions from days gone by. Relive the moments that stand with you in history. Every time you don your retro jersey, experience the rush of adrenaline you had when the last-minute winning goal was scored, the feeling of euphoria as you watched your team lift the cup and the pride and passion you felt to watch on as a supporter. Maybe the jersey was out before you were even born, but you’re a fan of the vintage jersey design? A retro jersey is a perfect way to stand out from the crowd as you cheer on your home team, on holidays to let everyone know where you are from (a common Irish trait) or as a fashion statement at a musical festival for the hipster look.

The deal will see the Irish sportswear giants supply kits for the League of Ireland First Division club from 2021 onwards.
The Tribesmen, who play home games at Eamonn Deacy Park, appointed John Caulfield as their new first-team manager earlier this year. Caulfield previously enjoyed a hugely successful spell managing Cork City and Galway United fans will be hoping he can revitalise their fortunes in a similar way as they aim to work their way back to the Premier Division.
Cormac Farrell, Marketing Manager O’Neills said: “As Ireland’s largest sportswear manufacturer, we are excited to be involved with the new impetus in soccer in the western capital. Galway United are a highly professional club and under the guidance of a top-class League of Ireland manager, John Caulfield, as well as the backing of the Comer Group, we are partnering with the club at an exciting phase of their development. We look forward to further enhancing the club product offering with our innovative and industry-leading
