Once your match or training is over, try to remove as much mud and grass off the boots as possible. Use a small stick or knock the boots together, sole to sole to clean the bottoms as best you can. A Great Top Tip: Keep a gentle cleaning brush (a spare toothbrush will do!) in your kit bag to clean the upper part of your boots!
Take your boots to the sink and remove the laces. In a bowl, create a mixture of mild washing detergent and warm water then wash the soles with a gentle brush. Next, take a flannel to scrub any stains on the upper parts of the boots. Dip the flannel into warm water again, and gently wipe away all the soap!
Your shoelaces can be washed in the washing machine in a cold, delicate cycle, just place them inside a pillowcase or mesh washing bag! Please air dry the laces to protect the integrity of the plastic tips and to prevent shrinking.
You can also hand-wash the laces in a basin of hot water with some mild dish soap and scrub them with a gentle brush!
Please take care when drying your football boots!
