The history of St. Colmcille’s goes back to 1938 when the football team was formed by Fr McSweeney and Phillip Ó Neill who taught in St Albans. After a short period of inaction due to world War 2 the club reformed in 1947 and has gone from strength to strength. Currently there is a men’s senior team and several juvenile teams from Under 8s up to Under 16s playing in Hertfordshire. There is also a ladies' senior team that play within the new Gloucestershire-Hertfordshire county board jurisdiction. Featuring St. Colmcille’s Jersey and supporters wear including training tops, half zips and skinny joggers and the Club's kids’ range.
