Sportswear brand O’Neills, Starbucks and Burger King have been added to the list of tenants at Marlborough Retail Park in Craigavon.
They join multi-national retailer Marks & Spencer which announced in September 2017 that it is opening a M&S Simply Food Store on the park.
Built by Turkington Developments, the former 80,000 sq ft B&Q site has drawn interest from a wide range of potential tenants ahead of the opening later this year.
The M&S store, which is set to create around 80 jobs, is on track for a grand opening in September along with O’Neills’ 14,000 sq ft store, which is due to open around the same time. Both the Starbucks and Burger King developments are subject to planning permission.
Stephen Thompson, O’Neills Sports said: “Celebrating 100 years in the sportswear business,O’Neills is proud to announce that one of the country’s most vibrant and dynamic shopping towns, Craigavon, is to be the location of our latest retail venture, creating 30 new jobs.
“The store will breathe energy, heritage, authenticity and originality, showcasing how far the brand has evolved during its 100-year history. O’Neills will offer fashion-conscious, athleisure consumers an exciting experience and identity whilst also appealing to technically-demanding athletes.”
O’Neills, with its manufacturing base in Strabane, currently employ over 600 people across the province.
Commercial property agencies CBRE and DTZ McCombe Pierce are acting on behalf of the landlord on the leasing of the scheme.
According to CBRE, there will be a further 100 jobs delivered throughout the construction process of the retail park.
