    The nib Newcastle Knights will break new ground next NRL season, with Irish sportswear giant O’Neills coming on board as the Club’s new Official Apparel Partner for 2020 and beyond.


    Founded in 1918, O’Neills is a globally renowned manufacturer of team and leisurewear with an extensive history in Gaelic sports.
    In recent decades, O’Neills has expanded its operations into other sports including Rugby League, and is currently the official provider to Super League outfits St Helens, Warrington and the Catalan Dragons, as well as linking with Super Rugby’s ACT Brumbies following their launch into the Australia and New Zealand markets in 2015.

    Club Finals Super Sunday

    What’s better than two GAA matches on a Sunday? Twenty! Sunday was all about the club finals, with twenty being decided around the country. We saw gasping last-minute equalisers, early goals, unlikely comebacks, and resounding wins. One thing is for sure when a player pulls on their club jersey in a county final, they aim to pull out all stops to lift the silverware after the final whistle. Heartbreak, passion, prayers and powering to glory, this weekend had it all.

    Ballybofey played host to a tense affair between Naomh Conaill and reigning Ulster champions, Gaoth Dobhair. Points from Niall MacAoidh and Gavin MacGiolla Bhride gave the reigning Ulster champions Gaoth Dobhair a two-point lead coming down the home straight, but the Glenties men weren’t giving up that easy. A free from Eoghan McGettigan and an almighty kick from a 45 by Thompson sent the match to a replay next Sunday.

    Saints grace Old Trafford in Super League Grand Final

    St Helens head to the Theatre of Dreams this weekend, Old Trafford, for the Betfred Super League Grand Final against Salford Red Devils. They will be chasing their first Grand Final victory since 2014, and their fourteenth in total. It is sure to be a proud day for their loyal fans to see the famous Red Vee jersey grace the hallowed turf on Grand Final day.

    Saints were crowned League Leaders Shield winners 2019, running away with the competition after finishing the season 16 points ahead of runners up Wigan Warriors.  After winning the previous three matches against their derby rivals Wigan Warriors, the Saints battled it out to make it four, bagging themselves a place in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford. The St Helens side has rampaged their way through the season to the first Super League Grand Final since 2014 when they championed over Wigan Warriors.     Wolves claw their way to Challenge Cup victory

    Over 62,000 fans descended on Wembley Stadium on Saturday 24th August to witness the showdown between the Warrington Wolves and St Helens in the 118th Coral Challenge Cup Final. Neighbouring rivals ensured for an exciting derby, with St Helens named as strong favourites after championing over the Wolves in all three league matches this year. But were the Wolves just going to lie down in defeat for a fourth time? You bet they didn’t! Both teams battled it out for the silverware in their O’Neills kits. With a blank scoreboard for St Helens at half time, the Warrington Wolves were up by 0-12. They continued to add the pressure to the opposition, with a glimmer of hope emerging for St Helens in the 56th minute, getting their first score on the board. Man of the match, Daryl Clark scored the finisher bringing the final score to 4-18. The Warrington Wolves lifted the trophy to the echoing cheers around Wembley. A thrilling watch for all supporters.
